A Cool Tree and a Walker

Today's favorite moments included . . .

. . . making waffles with Joy this morning.

. . . taking a walk with my two sons.

. . . hearing Joy play a song at her piano teacher's monthly playparty.  Joy did a good job, and I was very proud of her.

. . . Joy and the other piano students playing in the host family's backyard after the recitals were over.  The family has an enormous tree with all sorts of fun things hanging from it: two swings, a trapeze, a rope with knots in it for climbing, and even a teardrop-shaped hammock.  I imagine it would be a delight to grow up with a tree like that in your yard.

. . . baking gingerbread for the party, and hearing several people say how much they enjoyed it.

. . . holding Todd and watching the three older kids play happily together.

And another thing . . .

. . . someday when my husband needs a walker, I'm going to buy him this one.
