Today's not-so-favorite moments included . . .
. . . attending my father-in-law's burial today. I enjoyed last week's memorial service, with its warm remembrances of a father, brother, and friend. By contrast, today seemed so grim and final. I know we will see Dad H again some day, but it's still hard to say goodbye in such a concrete way.
Today's favorite moments included . . .
. . . Anna shivering with excitement and kicking her feet every single time she put a plastic toy in one of her colored cups. Her enthusiasm over that little achievement is so cute.
. . . our little family all snuggling together in a heap on the floor after dinner. It was sweet to glance over and see Joy’s big smile and twinkling eyes a few inches from my face.
