Ode to a Tree

Today's favorite moments included . . .

. . . a friend visiting from out of town.

. . . finally getting meals planned for the rest of the week.

. . . composing a little poem about our Christmas tree for a long-overdue family blog post.  While the poem waxes sentimental at the end, I confess my favorite part is the phrase "synthetic spruce" in the second couplet.  I'll publish the post in a few days, in case you're inclined to read the rest.  If not, at least my mom will enjoy it.
