Today's not-so-favorite moments included . . .
. . . putting tons of work into a dinner that no one liked, including me. So I made some granola and felt better. It helps that our home now smells delicious.

. . . hearing Joy wake up twenty minutes early shouting, "First day of school!"
. . . meeting Joy's first grade teacher, who seems like a calm, capable, lovely person.
