Today's not-so-favorite moments included . . .
. . . occasional grumbles from my lower back. It always takes about three days to heal after I strain it.
Today's favorite moments included . . .
. . . Pink Grandma visiting to play with the kids. They're always excited to see her.
. . . attending a Christmas party. Good company, good food, and a white elephant exchange in which things I had no use for went to people who were excited about them. No if only someone hadn't stolen that gift card I had.
. . . baking mini pumpkin pies with Joy. I omitted one egg and the egg wash step, and topped them with a little Cool Whip instead of the chocolate. Yummy and fun.
And another thing . . .
. . . our area is still recovering from the big wind storm a couple nights ago. A bunch of stoplights are still dark, some neighborhoods are still without power, and on some streets the downed branches and palm fronds are piled on the curbs like snowdrifts.
